A complete disappointment.
When I first purchased my brother printer and downloaded the app, everything worked great for printing wirelessly from my iPhone. However, I believe since the last app update, it doesnt print at all. What happened?
Update: about a week ago, I spent an entire day working with customer support. We fixed it (I thought). I was prepared to write a wonderful review, updating the first one star review. However, this fix only lasted for the past week or so. My iPhone was updated two days ago. Since then, I have to constantly reset my printer Wi-Fi information, unplug the machine, plug it back in, uninstall and reinstall the app, and on and on. The process might work for printing one item from the Internet, or from my photos. Then, once again, it doesnt work… I have to start all over and go through the entire process again. I am completely frustrated and upset that Brother cannot fix this app to work as it did before the last update in December! There is no excuse for this complete lack of functionality! I bought this printer to print wirelessly from my iPhone. This should not be such a complicated issue. I hope Brother reads these reviews, proceeds to do the right thing, and produces fixes that work with all of their wireless printers!
Note: I did install the Hammermill app, as one of these reviewers suggested it worked well for them. It does work great; however it only seems to print from photos, and thats all. I do like to print directly from emails, from the Internet, from my iBooks pages, etc., without having to take a picture first. Any suggestions from anyone else? I desperately need to figure out how to make this printer work with my iPhone.
