Brother iPrint&Scan App Reviews

This functionality of this app will vary across printers, so your satisfaction will vary. However, kudos to brother for trying to support older printers that havent been sold in many years. The functionality often isnt complete for every model, but at least it keeps these perfectly adequate machines useful and out of the landfill. Id definitely buy another brother printer, if mine ever breaks, over any of the other ones on the market.

I love this app, it allows me to print wirelessly from my iPad to my printer from various sources, clipboard, webpage, Dropbox, photos and more. Very simple and even when we recently switched router, picked up the printer right away.

Please add the ability to print directly from GMAIL, Outlook, Safari PDF viewer

Print preview doesnt seem to work with PDFs. Back button at the top is the same style as the browser back button which wipes out your history and makes you start over again. Would be nice if this app could just be integrated into your browser instead.

Been using it for a couple of weeks now and works nicely. Although the iPhone already worked with the printer without the app, sometimes Ive had to use the app directly.

Cannot connect a Brother MFC-885cw using this app. The list of machines for which Brother says "Your Brother machine does not support iPrint&Scan" is huge.

Not as comfortable as AirPrint but I suspect thats Apples fault. Convenient to use with cloud services such as Dropbox, Google drive, Evernote, etc. A bit cumbersome if you want to print directly from third party apps like Facebook, messenger, etc.

This isnt a bad printing app, but there are something, or a lot I hate. One I try to print something and it says that the brother printer isnt in the same internet, even though I clearly printed something 2 minutes before. Two, it crashes when I try to resize pictures. It normally happens when I do 10. Three when I do more then 5 pictures it immediately takes a 10 minutes to load all the pictures when you resize them. Fix these bugs

Would have given it 5 stars if it could recognize my envelope templates.

This app works great with my laser printer for all size jobs. Recommend it.

Great straight forward app from my favorite printer company. Brother is highly underrated. Ive bought Brother laser exclusively for two decades and will continue to do so. App works flawlessly for me. Just make sure its grabbing an IP successfully from the router.

Among the top in the printer world. Ive owned my Brother printer for 5 years. Recently quick working so I went out and bought another one. Didnt know about this app before but surprisingly it actually connected right up with the 5 year old printer without a single issue.! I have now successfully set it up with the new printer and I couldnt ask for more. Note though, just to print you really dont need this app if your printer is on the AirPrint compatible list. Ive printed out several things before I even found the app.

Just set up my new printer. This app lets me access the scanner. Printer supports AirPrint for printing. Both features seem to work perfectly. I did download a firmware update via the printers web interface. Which was push button easy. Very happy so far.

Would be five star worthy if you made some sort of indicator after a print job is completed successfully. So that if you are distracted and forget if youve sent your document to the printer you dont accidentally send it twice. Change the green print bar to red and have it say "done" or "printed". Something like that.

App works well with HL-5370DW. Some duplex functionality lost when printing photos following most recent update. This is one of my top 10 apps!
