Brother iPrint&Scan App Reviews

I just saw all the negative comments, and dont understand why people are having such problems. I always use the latest update. I printed several documents last night, and just used it to Scan a pix (first time use of scan). All worked perfectly. The APP has saved me a lot of time as I do not have to run up to the office to print, but can do it at the table with my iPhone or iPad. Now, having said that, I only seem to be able to print "attachments", like a pdf or jpg. While using my Comcast email reader, I havent figured a way to print the email itself, just the attachments. Anybody have an idea??

This app is easy to follow and use! A child would have no problem using this app. Anyone complaining this app doesnt work, or they cant figure it out, probably have to wear Velcro shoes.

While this of course needs to be used with a Brother printer that is supported by this app, It works very, very well… You can print photos, webpages, and various iCloud documents, etc. you can also set it up to scan as well but Ive never bothered to use that feature since I mostly use TinyScan. One tip I have is that it is often times a lot easier to simply take a snapshot of a section of a webpage (lock button+Home button) and then print the snapshot… as opposed to having to copy the entire web address and print the entire webpage… Since most of the time youre only interested in a small section of the web page anyway.

This is a good app. Would haven given more stars if it allows you o print from websites.

To get this to work you must go to the printer and restart it. It will not wake the printer from sleep mode. Brother used to have a good app. What happened. Please fix! Update: Newer version will not find printer. I installed it manually. It says to use send to from pages to use the printer, but it does not show up in the send to options. Sorry that I bought a brother printer. I am using a printer app that works through a desktop and it works ok, but you have to have the desktop turned on. Not cool.

Google Cloud Print printers dont appear in the app anymore. Pre-facelift, printers would appear and function properly. This bug has still not been fixed.

When it works (which can be sporadic) it is good. However my iPhone app is now - not opening. It is only "Waiting" like it wants to update but actually is not doing anything. It will not open, I cannot delete to reinstall. It just takes up space on the phone.

Your app is horrible. It does not work or sync to any of my mobile devices. I even went to the trouble to find my IP address so I could try to map it and it wouldnt recognize it. I have three mobile devices not including my laptop. This is horrible! Why dont you all listen to the people whove actually taken the time to leave comments about how bad this app is, and actually fix it??!! Stop sitting there doing nothing. Very very very disappointed.

This app no longer works with the iphone.

The app was fine. For a good while now Ive had to manually find the printer because connecting to it automatically just doesnt do it anymore. Its quite annoying having to do this every time. Fix it!!!!

The other reviews seem bad but I was able to use the app for my brother printer/scanner model: mfc-j5910 dw. Clutch

Maybe I just got lucky, but the app worked for me. I cant do much on my old iPad 2, so I wasnt expecting this to work. To my surprise, it connected with my printer and printed a mailing label! Hope it continues to let me use my ancient iPad with my printer.

What happened? Now it doesnt even find my printer! Latest update boggled the whole thing.

If it had the option to print double sided this app would be all 5 stars.

I needed to scan and email a document from my local printer (J4420). Found this app, and installed it despite low ratings. Scanned a 6 page document and emailed it within a few minutes. Works for me!

What a waste of an app! And what a waste the whole printer would have been if I wasnt able to use it on my computer because it is completely useless on a mobile device. The printer cannot be located and synced with my iPhone or iPad, and I went through all diagnostics, turned it off and on, reset the entire machine, checked SSID, etc. Totally useless on a mobile device! I dont understand why Brother doesnt do something about this, given all of the negative reviews. What a waste of time this app was. Again - glad the printer works with my computer because it does not work with this stupid app on my mobile devices!

Its 12am, I needed to print out a document to study off of and didnt want to go on my laptop so I downloaded this app. Opened it up, connected to my printer, looked up the document, and pressed print. Prior to this, Ive already set up my printer wirelessly. Im pretty sure you would need a wireless printer so dont expect any printer to work..?

It printed from both my iPad & iPhone SE.....no problem

What happened?! I used to be able to print from my iPhone with this. Now, the browser crashes, the print options dont work, and its generally useless. How did this release make it out the door??! Bring back the older version.
